Recruitment Details: Recruitment for 135 Posts of Jail warder in Assam Police was announced in April 2023. There are 11 Vacant Posts for females and 8 for SC candidates.

Recruitment Selection Method: Candidates have to appear for the two-phased Selection Process. The first phase will be the Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test. The candidates who are declared qualified in the PST/PET will appear for the written test.

Assam Jail Warder Admit Card 2023 Download: The candidates do need to download the Assam Police Jail Warder Admit card/ hall ticket online as the SLPRB board will not send the admit card by post. Therefore, the candidates are advised to visit the website of the board to get their admit card downloaded.

Furthermore, candidates should take a proper print of the admit card on a4 paper. Also, the candidates should check if the information printed on the admit card is correct and resembles them only. If you see any errors or discrepancies on admit card then you must contact the exam authority before the exam date to remove such errors. Any query or request on or after Phase one Test will not be entertained.

Physical Test Details

Candidates who cleared the PST will have to participate in 1600 meters/ 1200 meters race for Male and Females respectively which is to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds. Candidates who completed the race within the stipulated time will be awarded marks corresponding to the time taken by him/them.

The candidates who do not complete the race within the prescribed time shall be eliminated from the recruitment process.

Written Test Details

The written test will consist of 75 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer, the candidate will get one mark. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers. Total marks for the Written Test will be 75. The question paper will be in English and Assamese.
