On 28th December 2019, The Odisha government has launched the e-certificate portal which comes under the 5th model under the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management.
Citizens can apply for application for e-district certificates to get their Income certificates, Caste certificates and Residential certificates. The scheme was first launched by the Odisha government with the sole aim to provide all the government certificates available through online mode. This scheme will provide beneficiary facilities to all the residents of the Odisha state to get hold of their certificates hassle-free. Citizens can apply for the e-district Odisha certificate online by visiting the official web portal httpss://edistrict.odisha.gov.in/
The portal will provide all the non-public certificates and documents of the citizens of the Odisha state through digital mode, which will be free and also the obtained certificates will be delivered to the candidates address hassle-free. For implementing the e-district portal, the state government of Odisha has initiated the Service Plus platform of NIC which will provide seamless services and facilities to the citizens. certificate: The candidate can get hold of his/her residential certificate which will act as proof as a citizen or resident of the Odisha state for any other government scheme.

- Income certificate: The candidate can get hold of his/her income certificate which can be used as proof of the annual income of the person.
- Guardianship certificate: The candidate can get hold of his/her guardianship certificate which will act as proof as a guardian for the minor member of the family.
- Caste certificate: The candidate can get hold of his/her caste certificate if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC category.
- Legal Heir certificate: The candidate can get hold of his/her legal heir certificate which will state and act as proof of relationship between the deceased and the candidate for inheritance.
How to Apply Online for the E District Odisha Certificate.
- From any web browser search for the E District Odisha Certificate web portal.
- Search and click on the link for the Register Yourself option from the homepage of the portal.
- The required registration form will be displayed on the desktop screen.
- Carefully fill in all the relevant details and information as per the registration form.
- Submit the registration form.
- After submitting, click on the login option.
- For logging into the website, the candidate has to provide a valid email-id, OTP which will be sent to the candidates mobile and the captcha code.
- Now the candidate will be logged into the website.
- Click on the link for the relevant certificate to apply.
- The application form for the certificate will be displayed on the screen.
- Carefully fill in all the required details as per the application form.
- Submit the application form.
- The user will now get a reference number, save the number for further usage.
How to apply for the Income Certificate.
- If in the case of a minor income certificate, the minor guardians should apply for the income certificate stating their annual income.
- The applicant must submit all the required documents along with the application form and a required self-declaration form along with a necessary Rs. 4/- court fee stamp stating the annual income and income source of the applicant.
- The application form should be filled duly along with an Rs. 3/- court fee stamp which should be submitted to the nearest CSC.
- After the submission of all the documents, the applicant will be provided with a reference number along with an acknowledge slip.
- The application will be processed within 15 days.
H to apply for the Caste Certificate.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC sections of the society must submit an application form along with Rs. 3/- court fee stamp and recommendation statement from the local sarpanch or political minister and signed by a group of local people with self-declaration form along with Rs. 4/- court fee stamp and submit it to the nearest CSC.
- The application will be processed within 30 working days, and then the candidate will get the caste certificate.
Steps to apply for the Residential Certificate
- Candidate can apply for the residential certificate, along with documents and certificates like Aadhar card, parent’s land document etc. There is no age limit for the application process.
- The candidate must fill the application along with Rs. 3/- court fee stamp and submit it to the nearest CSC.
- The application will be processed within 15 days.

- Search and click on the link for the Application Status option from the homepage of the portal.
- Enter the correct application number obtained during the registration process.
- Click the search option.
- The status of the application will be shown on the screen.
