The age limit is that a candidate must not be below 17 years of age or above 42 years of age at the time of the notification. Age limits relaxations are applicable for SCs, STs and BCs as per government rules.
The written examination will be OMR sheet based. It will have 90 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The exam will be of 90 minutes or one and a half hours. There will be no penalty if the question is left unanswered or is wrong

The syllabus of the written exam has the following and exam pattern.
- General Awareness, Maths, Science, Computer, Reasoning, English, and Hindi: 75% of the questions will be on these topics.
- History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Environment, Civics, Culture of Haryana: 25% of the questions will be on these topics.
HSSC ITI Instructor 2021 Admit Card Instructions
The HSSC will not send the admit cards to the postal address of candidates. The candidates have to visit the official website and download the admit card online and print it onto an A4 size paper to bring with them to the exam centre.
The candidate has to bring two passport size photos of himself/herself, and a photo ID card for identification purposes. The candidate can bring their Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter Card, or Passport.
