The MukhyaMantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana (MMKSY) was first launched on 25th October 2019 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the Department of the Women and Child, which provided financial aid and supports the families who give birth to a girl child. Under this scheme, the State government provided beneficiary facilities like safety, protection, education and health services to the families having a girl child with an annual income of lesser than 3 lakhs. The Government of Uttar Pradesh will provide funding to about Rs 15000 to the family in a phased manner accordingly to the girl child milestones.

How to Apply MukhyaMantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana 2022 Online

Families of the Girl child can apply online to this scheme by visiting the web portal of the MMKSY httpss://mksy.up.gov.in

Under this scheme, there are six stages:

  1. Under Stage-1, the girl child family will get financial aid of Rs 2000/- one time, if the girl child is born on or after 1st April 2019.
  2. For Stage-2, the financial of Rs 1000/- one time will be provided to the family if the girl child has full immunization and has been born before 1st April 2018.
  3. For Stage-3, the financial aid of Rs 2000/- one time will be provided to the family when the girl child gets enrolled in the 1st Standard of the academic session.
  4. For Stage-4, the financial aid of Rd 2000/- one time will be provided to the family when the girl child gets enrolled in the 6th standard of the academic session.
  5. For Stage-5, the financial aid of Rs 3000/- one time will be provided to the family when the girl child gets enrolled in the 9th standard of the academic session.
  6. For Stage-6, the financial aid of Rs 5000/- will be provided to the family when the girl gets passed out from 12th standard and gets enrolled in any bachelor degree for at least 2 years in the academic session.

मुख्यमंत्री कन्या सुमंगला योजना 6 श्रेणियों में निम्नवत् लागू की जायेगी:-

प्रथम श्रेणी नवजात बालिकाओं जिनका जन्म 01/04/2019 या उसके पश्चात् हुआ हो, को रू0 2000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।
द्वितीय श्रेणी वह बालिकायें सम्मिलित होंगी जिनका एक वर्ष के भीतर सम्पूर्ण टीकाकरण हो चुका हो तथा उनका जन्म 01/04/2018 से पूर्व न हुआ हो, को रू0 1000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।
तृतीय श्रेणी वह बालिकायें सम्मिलित होंगी जिन्होंने चालू शैक्षणिक सत्र के दौरान प्रथम कक्षा में प्रवेश लिया हो , को रू0 2000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।
चतुर्थ श्रेणी वह बालिकायें सम्मिलित होंगी जिन्होंने चालू शैक्षणिक सत्र के दौरान छठी कक्षा में प्रवेश लिया हो , को रू0 2000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।
पंचम श्रेणी वह बालिकायें सम्मिलित होंगी जिन्होंने चालू शैक्षणिक सत्र के दौरान नवीं कक्षा में प्रवेश लिया हो , को रू0 3000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।
षष्टम् श्रेणी वह सभी बालिकायें सम्मिलित होंगी जिन्होंने 10वीं/12वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण करके चालू शैक्षणिक सत्र के दौरान स्नातक-डिग्री या कम से कम दो वर्षीय डिप्लोमा में प्रवेश लिया हो , को रू0 5000 एक मुश्त धनराशि से लाभान्वित किया जायेगा।

How to Register UP MKSY Kanya Sumangla Yojana 

The financial aid amount will be first funded to the mother’s bank account, in case of the mother’s death, then the amount will get funded to the father’s account. If in any unfortunate event both the mother and father die, then the amount will get funded to the girl’s bank account itself.

Families can apply for this online by following the below-mentioned steps, or by visiting the registered office of Block Development or District Probation Officer.

  1. Search for the website of the MKSY from any web browser or click on the link httpss://mksy.up.gov.in.
  2. From the homepage of the web portal, click on the link for the Citizen Service Portal option.
  3. Read on the terms and click on the I agree with option.
  4. A new screen with the registration form will be opened.
  5. Carefully fill in all the relevant details according to the registration form.
  6. Verify using an OTP which will be sent to the user mobile phone.
  7. A login id and password will be provided to the user.
  8. Login into the account with the help of the login id and password obtained before.
  9. The application form will be opened.
  10. Upload all the required documents as per the application form.
  11. Click on the option for SMS OTP.

The user has to get a hold on of some important documents during registration like:

  1. Scanned proof of the resident proof.
  2. Any id proof issued by the government.
  3. Details of Bank account photocopy.
  4. Death certificate in case the mother or father has expired.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required for applying for the MMKSY scheme are mentioned below.

  1. The child’s family must provide valid resident proof in the State of Uttar Pradesh for example Aadhar card or any valid bills such as telephone or electricity bills.
  2. The applicant or the girl child family must not have an annual income of more than 3 lakhs.
  3. The scheme will not be able to cover for the family of more than 3 girl children.
  4. In case of any twin is born, then all three children will be covered under the scheme.
  5. In any case if the family adopt any girl child, then also a maximum of two girls will be covered under the scheme.

A total of Rs 15000/- financial aid will be provided to the families in a phased manner for about 6 stages as mentioned earlier.

Some of the key features of the MMKSY scheme are:

  1. A as mentioned earlier, Rs 15000/- financial aid will be provided by the Uttar Pradesh Government in a phased manner.
  2. A total sum of Rs 1200 CR was initially funded for the implementation of the scheme.
  3. This scheme will in turn change the ideology behind the birth of a girl child.
  4. The scheme has 6 stages in which the family will get financial aid in a phased manner.
  5. The funded money will be added directly to the girl child parents, or the child account in case the parents expire.
